SEOQuake is a very powerful plugin for firefox that retrieves lots of information about sites. When you do a google search it will retrieve information about each site in the results list. This great as it also allows you to do sorting of the results based on the information it has returned. So you can sort the results by pagerank.
I’m sure you can already see the potential power of this, do you spend time looking for backlink opportunities? Of course you do, now Im sure your aware that getting links for higher PR sites is better than getting links from low / no PR sites. If you are not using SEOQuake then you must be visiting each site in the results to see what its PR is, wow thats time consuming ! Thats just a quick example of how this plugin can be used, there are many more.
We are going to change the setup of SEOQuake so that it only pulls back PR, yahoo Index and yahoo backlinks. You may also want to pull back the domain age but I choose not to as this take long.
I have changed my SEOQuake setup because it was taking far too long to pull back all the information that its set to look for by default, this way it only pulls back the information I want so its MUCH MUCH faster.
Changing the parameters
You will see the SEOQuake symbol in the bottom right corner of firefox (if you have not installed it yet go here: http://www.seoquake.com/).
Right click the symbol and then click preferences (its the top option in the list).
Amend the parameters like so:

You can amend all the other options to match your needs, I have left mine as default as I like to see the extra information when I go to a site. If you are a Bing or Yahoo search user then you may want to make the same changes to the correct columns.
Well thats the end of this post I hope you have learnt something new
